Job Description

Personal Assistant to the Head

  • Annual Salary: Competitive
  • Location: Woking
  • Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a highly organised and dedicated PersonalAssistant to provide full and confidential PA/secretarial support to theHeadteacher. The role also involves offering high-quality administrative support within the school. This position is ideal forsomeone who is a car driver, can manage a diverse workload, and approaches tasks with discretion and professionalism. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide comprehensive PA/secretarial support to theHeadteacher, including diary management and correspondence handling.
  • Support senior leaders with administrative tasks and diary coordination as necessary.
  • Manage internal and external communications on behalf of theHeadteacher, drafting replies and negotiating outcomes.
  • Coordinate the production of the school’s calendar and the Head’s Termly Report.
  • Take minutes at meetings and provide support at school events, including those outside normal school hours.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the school
  • Draft agendas for executive meetings and collate performance management documents for schoolleaders.
  • Proofread policies, ensuring they are up-to-date, and organise hospitality for meetings and events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 18 months+ experience as a Personal Assistant, with experience within the education sector being desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using SIMS and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car.
