Job Description

High Intensity Therapist or Cognitive Behavioural Therapist wanted to join new service in Norwich.We are looking to recruittwo enthusiastic and motivated Qualified High Intensity Therapists or Cognitive Behavioural Therapists tojoin the multidisciplinary service providing services to Her Majesty’s Prison Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, all under the Integrated Mental Health and Justice Pathway which commenced in April 2019.Qualified applicants will hold a formal qualification in CBT in addition to experience of delivering psycho social interventions. Additional dual training such as Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT), Inter-Personal Therapy (IPT) or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Re-Processing (EMDR) will be welcomed.Successful applicants would be expected to be BABCP Accredited or working towards thisWhat makes us differentOur service uses an integrated model from arrest to release from prison thus allowing a PWP’s and the wider team to know the full process and journey of the service user. We have found this model really works and makes our working much more collaborative and joined up. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the team and help us build, shape and grow what is a relatively new service. We want to hear your ideas.Who are we are looking forWe are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working within a busy and challenging environment with people who present with a range of common mental health difficulties, including depression and anxiety. You will work autonomously and provide direct intervention to a defined caseload of service users operating within recognised professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. This is not a standalone role, as part of the wider NSFT Secure Services Psychology Team you will receive excellent clinical supervision alongside professional and governance support.The service is in its infancy, so this is an ideal opportunity to join the team and lead the development of the service, you can help shape what the service will look like in the long term.You will work as part of a diverse and supportive team of Psychological Therapists, PWPs, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
