Job Description

Handyman - Watton, IP25 - One Week - Pay Up to £18.50 Per Hour (CIS)Handyman. Our client, a Main Contractor, who undertake Commercial & Retail Fit-out/Refurbishment projects throughout the UK are currently requiring one Trade Labourer/Handyman to commence next week for a period of around one week on their project just outsideWatton.The role will contain carrying out "hands on" duties and be familiar with the use of hand tools and power tools. You should ideally be able to provide basic tools to support the required tasks, as detailed below:

  • Installation of temporary protective works such as correx, foam door guards etc
  • Move existing meeting room furniture to generate space for trades (mechanical means if deemed necessary)
  • Erect basic work at height equipment as per manufacturers instructions (Podiums etc)
  • Suitably use work at height equipment as per manufacturers instructions (Podiums etc)
  • Remove fixtures and fittings as guided by site management, for either reinstatement or disposal (window blinds etc)
  • Install basic fixtures to walls if required in line with manufacturers instructions (whiteboards etc)
  • Daily closedown clean/vacuum of the scope area with support from the site manager
  • Uplift existing carpet tiles in readiness to receive new flooring, set aside for disposal
  • Movement of generated waste from scope area to wait & load location (goods lift available and means of moving materials to be provided)
  • Support the site manager with access control if required
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by management (extent of tasks always assessed for suitability)
