Job Description

JOB: Health and Safety Advisor - Interim position - 6 monthsLOCATION: Grimsby - but there will be anticipated travel to other UK sitesSALARY: Circa £35k (pro rata for six months)My client is seeking an INTERIM Health and Safety Advisor for a six-month period.You will be co-ordinating, supporting and advising the business on all aspects of Health and Safety. You will establish, manage and set up monitoring systems of all standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to.IT IS IMPERITIVE THAT YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NEBOSH
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • You will also need to demonstrate:
  • Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer literacy, especially Microsoft Windows/Office applications
  • You will be ensuring a safe workplace environment without risk to health. You will review all H&S policies, procedures, rules and regulations and make sure that the company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.All accidents will be documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.You will ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.You will co-ordinate the development of Health and Safety policies, systems of work and procedures.Full and accurate H&S records are maintained and you will establish a full programmed of documented H&S inspections, audits and checks.You will liaise with external H&S consultants in the provision of training programmes and H&S services, where necessary.You will keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.If you feel that this varied and interesting interim position is exactly what you are seeking, and you have the relevant qualifications and experience for this position, please let me have your CV as soon as possible.My client is looking to appoint in the near future, so interviews are expected to be organised in the next few days.If you are shortlisted for an interview, a full job description will be provided to you.
