Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a heavy industry manufacturer based in Grimsby to recruit an Engineering Manager.Salary: up to £65,000 depending on experienceBenefits include:

The Engineering Manager will manage a preventative and reliable maintenance program for the site whilst recognising opportunities for synergies and cost saving.Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager with previous success in challenging existing situations, implemented improvements and brought about effective change. Someone proactive and self-motivated to lead from the front to drive the business forward.Duties and responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include:
  • Ensure that all engineering and maintenance functions are managed efficiently
  • Continually improve the efficiency of the resources within the engineering/maintenance department
  • implement the adoption of best working practices and engineering/maintenance methods by applying CBS methods and training measures
  • Plan and implement processes ensuring investment including annual and long term Capex and Maintenance programs
  • Design and implement factory processes, plant layout, automation projects, and simulation in all areas ensuring the best ergonomic practices are followed according to lean principles and standards
  • Design, implementation, installation, start-up, validation and handover of all equipment, tools, including IT and devices (hardware, software – plc, MES, MSB ….)
  • Manage site contractors to ensure safe working practices are applied and work is carried out
  • Ensure that building and services are maintained to an acceptable level and within budget
  • Develop and implement a training and development program
  • Manage the implementation and development of a preventative maintenance program as well as of building and infrastructure according to required standards (TPM) to maximise utilisation and minimise downtime and cost
We would like to speak with Engineering Managers with the following skills and experience:
  • Engineering degree
  • Minimum 3 years managerial experience in a similar role.
  • Leading projects
  • Change management and lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Preventative maintenance techniques
  • Overcoming resistance to change and making the most of the team
  • Friendly, persuasive and assertive, able to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach
