To take accountability for all aspects of engineering compliance for The Docks cluster in the achievement of safe operation of maintenance tasks, environmental issues. To act as the key link between the contractors, Managers and site needs to leverage Engineeringcompliance expertise to deliver the departments agreed food, people and site safety, maintenance priorities and innovative projects. To represent Engineering as a value adding, role model function inside and outside of the site.Youngs Seafood Limited is home of the Youngs branded range and is the leading UK fish and seafood processor providing frozen and chilled, branded and retailer branded fish. With a team of over 3,000 people across 11 sites in the UK, including Pinneys ofScotland based in Annan and Macrae Foods based in Livingston and Fraserburgh, we work in long-term partnership with our customers to provide responsibly sourced fish to the consumer.Youngs has over 200 years experience in the Seafood market and uses more than 30 species which are sourced from 5 continents. Our team takes products from conception through to production and prepares over 300 million seafood dishes for the UK consumer everyyear inspiring people to eat fish twice a week.* To exercise diligence and independent judgement to promote transparent, values-led and professional management of the site.* To act as a professional and trusted advisor to the Engineering Cluster Manager and site Management team on all maintenance and engineering matters relating to the Marsden Road site.* To utilise organisational and local MI to identify and prioritise local engineering agendas to achieve organisational engineering goals; Ensure MI is consistent, honest, open, routinely reviewed.* Regular constructive engagement with, and co-ordination of, the broader engineering teams (other sites, HSE Depts) to facilitate the local delivery of site engineering goals.* The application of financial rigor to all engineering activity to ensure value for money for the site.* To drive the site to produce best possible outcomes for audits and maintain audit standards year on year and deliver outstanding performance on engineering quality and safety expectations.* To ensure the food safety, legality and quality of finished goods are complied with and consider engineering solutions for these, to continually challenge and improve systems, processes and machinery.* The provision of advice and guidance on Engineering issues to the site leadership team to promote good practice and compliance.* Graduate calibre* HNC / equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering* NEBOSH Certificate qualified* 16/17th edition electrical qualification or equivalent.* Level 4 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)* Advanced HACCP (or equivalent)* 3+ years of Engineering leadership experience; with exposure to FMCG environments, M&S audit standards and being audit ready.* Experience of working in Chilled and frozen environments working with coated products and white fish processing products.* Knowledge of fish products, engineering products around coated processing.* Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups.* Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.* Ability to lead engineering segments of audits and ensure delegated Managers are able to lead also.* Ability to work with peers in a matrix structure to draw in external skills to achieve local goals* Track record of delivery* Ability to manage priorities and projects across a multi-site and multi-function organisation.
