Job Description

Theyre looking for an experienced Electrician to join the electrical team in Grimsby.The RoleAs an Electrician you will provide exceptional standards of customer service to install, service and maintain electrical systems and equipment in domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard in accordance with the most current Edition ofWiring Regulations.You will also carry out day to day maintenance and repairs including working on voids to Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) properties in accordance with the Repairs and Maintenance policy.What will I be asked to do as an Electrician

  • To install, service and maintain electrical systems and equipment including emergency lighting, fire alarm and door entry systems in domestic and commercial properties
  • Undertake routine maintenance and servicing to electrical systems and equipment to the standards required by the IET
  • Trace, diagnose and rectify faults using appropriate testing and measuring equipment, ensuring systems and equipment is left in a safe and serviceable condition
  • Report all faulty equipment /installations that do not comply with current regulations
  • Carry out programmed maintenance and servicing on domestic and commercial regulations
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with safety regulations and Health and Safety procedures
What skills, attributes and experience will I need as an Electrician
  • Ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of tasks contained within the job description
  • Ability to understand and interpret work instructions, drawings and schematic diagrams
  • Ability to trace and diagnose faults
  • Ability to use appropriate test and measuring equipment
  • The ability to communicate on a one-to-one basis and produce information in a written form, including completion of necessary work documentation electronically
Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognised apprenticeship
  • BS7671 to 17th18th Edition qualification and full working knowledge
  • 2391 inspection and testing certification (desirable)
  • 2360 Pt1/Pt2/Level 3 electrical installations
  • C&G 2365 diploma in electrical installations
  • or recognised equivalents
ExperienceA minimum of two years experience working within an electrical installation environment relevant to this role including recognised apprenticeshipWhat are Lincolnshire Housing partnership like to work forLHP is an impressive company to work for and have recently been awarded a one to watch status in their first Best Companies survey. This role is predominantly to cover the Boston & surrounding area, however there may be a need to travel to other areasin Lincolnshire.
