An exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team of CT and MRI Radiographers along with the opportunity be close to the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds and stunning coastline with the beaches of Cleethorpes and Sutton on Sea all within close proximity.Candidates who wish to specialise and have have an expert knowledge in one modality are invited to apply.We are a district general hospital performing a wide range of examinations including MRI under general anaesthesia, CT biopsies and Radiographer led CT colon sessions with opportunities for suitably experienced staff to train in performing CT colon. Our Radiologists supports a Radiographer led CT Colon service and training is actively supported on a regular basis to allow Radiographers to achieve this skill.We are currently in process of building a new purpose built MRI suite to house 2 brand new, state of the art 1.5T Philips MRI scanners. Staff wishing to specialise in MRI are invited to apply.Our new CT suite opens early January with a GE revolution scanner in a new purpose designed modular unit.We are looking for highly motivated Radiographers, ideally with experience in MRI or CT experience are invited to apply.Suitable candidates must be HCPC registered and would ideally hold a Post Graduate Certificate in CT or MRI imaging.The ability to perform intravenous cannulations would be desirable however training will be provided for suitable candidates. The department actively encourages CPD and supports post graduate certificate training.Both CT and MRI are open 7 days a week and this post requires flexible working with a variety of shifts in response to service needs. Out of hours cover for CT is offered as a night shift rather than an on call commitment resulting in an excellent work / life balance enabling staff to enjoy days off exploring the area.BackgroundNorthern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust consists of Scunthorpe General Hospital, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, and the smaller Goole District Hospital. Imaging services are provided across all 3 sites.We have busy, friendly departments with dedicated teams of Radiographers and Consultant Radiologists, with a good working relationship with Clinicians and other Service Users.We have well-developed equipment; 64 slice CT scanners, and 1.5T MRI scanners at each site, and the Trust investment programme continues to demonstrate commitment to service improvement. Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, GrimsbyThe CT/MRI department has 2 state of the art GE Revolution Evo 64 slice scanners installed in March 2018 and December 2020 and a Philips Intera Achieva 1.5T MRI scanner. Building works are currently in process for a purpose built MRI suite which will have seperate facilities for in patients, out patients and patients requiring general anaesthesia. ScunthorpeThe Blue Sky Imaging Suite opened in Aug 2012, and is a purpose built cross-sectional imaging suite, housing GE Optima 660 64 slice CT scanner, and a GE 450W wide bore 1.5T MRI scanner.The main requirement for this recruitment will be for the base site to be at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. Flexibility is however required, and you may on occasion be asked to work across the sites.As a Trust, we are actively committed to CPD, and encourage people to widen their scope of practice, currently having radiographers performing IV cannulation, radiographer reporting in general radiology, & a Radiographer led CT Colonography service.We have a comprehensive Induction Programme, which is directly linked to a competency-based structure.We have direct links with Sheffield Hallam University from where we provide clinical placements across sites for student radiographers, and with Hull & York Medical School – offering clinical placements to medical students.For further details / informal visits contact:Carol Bond, Head of CT and MRIEmail address:Telephone number
