LOCATION/BASE ADDRESS – Young Minds MatterFreshney Green Primary Care Centre1st FloorSorrel RoadGrimsbyDN34 4GBBAND AND SALARY - 5 or 6 dependent on experience NUMBER OF HOURS – 37.5 Full-timePermanentAre you an RNMH / RNLD / Social Worker / Occupational Therapist with a particular interest in working with young people experiencing mental health crisis Or are you a RN with additional CAMHS training and experienceThere is a rare opportunity to apply for a permanent post within our friendly, supportive and award winning Crisis and Home Treatment Team in North East Lincolnshire. Our service began in 2013 and has become well-established, receiving national recognition for the work we do, with many other areas now replicating our model. We firmly believe that young people can be supported in the community in which they live and we work according to this ethos, sharing risk appropriately and promoting recovery. There has been a significant reduction in admissions to Tier 4 Hospital beds as a result of our model of working. We are a 24/7 service, operating on a 4 day working week with nights covered by an on-call rota. Rotas are prepared well in advance and unsocial hours shared out amongst staff. You will do on average 1 in 4 weekends and there is opportunity to make up to 4 day off requests per month, which helps staff to manage a good work / life balance.Enhancements are paid for weekend shifts and there are extra payments made for being on-call regardless of whether or not you receive any calls. We recognise that staff wellbeing is paramount to the efficient functioning of a service and therefore ensure staff are provided with appropriate opportunities to participate in regular well-being events throughout the year, including yoga, staff choir, quizzes and other social events. Staff will be provided with regular managerial and clinical supervision and will hold low caseloads in order to meet the flexibility required of a Crisis team; both yours and our patients’ well-being will be our priority. We also recognise that travel is a consideration for staff. Although low in number, if you do get called out to do a mental health assessment at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital Grimsby, you will be paid home to hospital mileage. If you live North Bank and travel over the Humber Bridge to work then your bridge tolls will also be paid.Experience of working with mental health risk is preferred; however we are committed to developing our staff and would welcome applications from newly qualified staff that are able to evidence transferable skills and a passion for this rewarding area of mental health.Due to the high risk nature of this client group, and the standards of care we expect from our workers, you would be supported in accessing necessary training and supervision and would be required to undergo observed practice in order to ensure your confidence and competence before working autonomously out of hours. If you are interested in joining our friendly and committed team and would like to know more then please call Anita or Andy for an informal chat.CLOSING DATE: 28 February 2021INTERVIEWS DATE: 11 March 2021
