Job Description

We are looking for a QA Technician to join our busy distribution site in Barnsley.Salary: £24,330 per annumLocation: Long Royd, Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72 7GH Immediate startNo experience needed but would be advantageous Shifts: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 | 06:00 - 14:00 rotatingTemp to permMach Recruitment is recruiting for a QA technician to report into the Quality at a large warehouse and distribution site in Grimethorpe, Barnsley S72 7GH.The role:As a Quality Technician, you will be working within a factory environment and your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • A willingness to help other areas. Develop inter departmental relationships within the business working in conjunction with Department Managers and Supervisors across the business.
  • Share Knowledge and aid in the implementation of processes, procedures and help sustain the company’s quality management certification.
  • Help sustain the company’s calibration systems / testing systems and document all results.
  • Support all QA projects across all areas of the business.
  • Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming products or process until corrected (CAR system / returns / credits).
  • Perform internal audits to the company’s audit schedule.
  • Work directly with all customers including customer visits if needed.
  • Participate in the company’s continuous Improvement program.
  • Help to sustain and initiate any action required to prevent any occurrence of non-conformity related to product, process, or the quality management system.
  • Ensuring the company complies with the Quality Management System and to add support to the Quality Manager with the day to day running of the quality functions within the business.
About you: As a Quality Technician, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent Mathematics and English
  • Basic people management skills
  • Good knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standard
  • Internal Auditor Trained is desirable
  • Excellent time management
  • Resilient and eager to learn and develop
  • Be able to work up to 8 hours per shift
