Job Description

Our client have an exciting opportunity for aMaintenance Supervisor (Electrical bias) to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join themon a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.As the UK market leading Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom fitted furniture manufacturer, they have had unsuppressed growth over the last 40 years, with an emphasis on providing a high standard of products and service. They are currently seeking the very bestpeople, to further strengthen theirposition within the industry by appointing dedicated individuals to share in their success.TheMaintenance Supervisor (Electrical bias) role:Reporting directly to the Group Maintenance Manager, this position requires the candidate to have at least five years of managerial experience, leading large teams and be educated to HNC / Degree level.The role involves managing a team of engineers and subcontractors within pre agreed on budget limits covering the production of furniture, and operating a 4 shift, 7-day rotational working pattern.You willensure the availability of production and facilities assets within a modern manufacturing facility.The key responsibilities of their Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical bias) will include:

  • Production plant and equipment maintenance
  • Property maintenance
  • Planned and preventative maintenance
  • Day to day machine breakdown resolution
  • Electronic plant maintenance records
  • Staff recruitment, training and performance monitoring
  • Annual budget preparation with due regard for past and present performance data
  • Apprentice development and labour skills planning
  • The creation of weekly KPIs
To meet the requirements of their Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical bias) you must have:
  • A successful track record within a factory environment ideally Woodworking / FMCG / Packaging
