Job Description

Are you an experienced Property Management Accountant Are you looking for your next career move We have a great opportunity working for an established and thriving property firm for an experienced Management Accountant who has worked in the Property Sector.The successful candidate will ideally have used QUBE or similar property software packages.Duties include:

  • Researching and answering Property Managers questions regarding tenant statements.
  • Reviewing and approving work such as tenant credit memos, non-recurring tenant billings and questionable cash receipts for entry by Accounting Clerks.
  • Preparing security deposit refund invoices and delivers to Accounts Payable department.
  • Preparing tenant account analysis and reconciliations when tenants dispute charges to their accounts.
  • Managing service charge demands and ad hoc costs to tenants as required.
  • Setting up new clients on the system.
  • Ensuring electronic filing is in line with the companies procedures and maintained with accuracy.
  • Preparing year end accounts including reallocation of costs.
  • Reviewing accounts payable voucher submissions for legal and repair and maintenance expenses.
  • Reviewing accounts receivable for delinquencies, cash applications and prepaid rent application.
  • Responsible for statutory accounts filed with Companies House and Inland Revenue.
  • Calculating and entering monthly contract item accruals such as janitorial, security and utility expenses to match expenses to period incurred, and review trial balance for reversing of same entries in next accounting period.
  • Calculating and entering rehab capitalisation entry.
  • Preparing balance sheet tie-out to balance the general ledger and commercial management systems.
  • Preparing Preview Statements and distributes to field to ensure following months recurring charges and past due charges are accurate.
  • Calculating and recording appropriate depreciation and amortisation of fixed assets, tenant improvements, and leasing commissions.
