Job Description

Job Title: DriverLocation: GreenfordHours: 42.5 hours per weekTimings: Monday - Friday: 07.30am - 17.00pmJob Summary:We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of wholesale products to our customers in and around London. As a key member of our distribution team,you will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach their destination in a timely and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery Operations:
    • Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver wholesale products to customers within the designated route.
    • Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, and maintain a safe driving record.
  2. Product Handling:
    • Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care of goods.
    • Verify the accuracy of product deliveries by checking invoices against the items being delivered.
    • Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to the supervisor.
  3. Vehicle Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure it is in good working condition.
    • Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the appropriate department.
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle both inside and out.
  4. Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers during deliveries.
    • Be polite, professional, and courteous at all times.
    • Address customer inquiries or concerns appropriately or escalate them as necessary.
  5. Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery routes, times, and any incidents that occur during delivery.
    • Submit delivery documentation to the appropriate department in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Working Hours:
  • The standard working hours for this role are 42.5 hours per week.
  • Some flexibility in working hours may be required based on delivery schedules and business needs.
