Job Description

Project Planner / Scheduler - Up to £65,000 – Greenford (Hybrid)FryerMiles are delighted to working with a leading global defence business to assist with the recruitment of a Project Planner / Scheduler to join their team based in Greenford.The successful candidate will hold valid SC or DV Clearance and have experience working as a Planner / Scheduler on Defence or Aerospace projects with expert knowledge of Risk, Earned Value Management and Critical Path awareness.Specific Duties:

  • Accountable for the quality and integrity of project plans and schedule analysis
  • Compile reports to ensure the project manager and wider team has up to date and accurate information
  • Verify the maintenance and accuracy of project plans
  • Track project performance to ensure project data accuracy on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Work with cross functional teams to support the planning process.
  • Manage and communicate issues to stakeholders
  • Planning and project control processes through regular project control reviews
  • Application and reporting of EVM & CPA
  • Understanding Risk and Opportunity management and maintenance
  • Support bids and proposal planning
Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in project planning, preferably within the Defence and Aerospace industry
  • Understanding of Planning structures and principles (WBS, PBS – Product Breakdown Structure)
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Proficient in the use of MSP and or equivalent planning tools Primavera P6
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead cross-functional collaborations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in aerospace and defence.
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle management techniques
  • Risk, Earned Value Management and Critical Path awareness
Travel:
  • Hybrid working with travel to Greenford as and when needed
