Job Description

The role of the Production Planning Manager requires a highly meticulous, Problem solving oriented, organised planner, to take immediate ownership of production planning activities and a growing team of production Schedulers and Activity Controllers.Working closely with the Warehouse manager and our Supply Chain, you shall ensure on time in full delivery of our products and balance resources with supply, and organisational budgeted targets.Client DetailsThe client are a fast-growing British success story who wants to transform cities. The company sells over 45,000 bikes in 44 countries around the world every year.Description

  • Coordinating production workflow of our products including P&A and Warranty across our relevant four factories (Brazing, Pre-assembly and Wheels, Paint, Final Assembly).
  • Ensure jobs are released weekly, maintaining a 4-week frozen zone.
  • Ensure jobs are scheduled by day in next 2 weeks.
  • Improve and Maintain weekly Production Schedules by factory, detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet due and projected completion date.
  • Planning and prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum job order delay across all factories.
  • Maintain 12-18 months ramp up visibility of requirements, and work with production team to ensure ramp up plans are in line with demand, keeping risks and opportunities clearly visible at any point.
  • Lead, Manage, and recruit, a growing team of 5 Production Activity Controllers (week shift) and potentially 3 Production Activity Controllers for a future weekend shift.
Profile
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Proven experience as Production Planner.
  • Excellent knowledge of Production Planning and quality control principles.
  • Highly numerate logical thinker.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with ERP Systems
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills - both verbal and written, with a confident and professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to dig down into details while retaining a sense of the broader picture.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Experience leading process change through continuous improvement.
  • Experience working across business departments.
