Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer - C++ - Middlesex/BuckinghamshireAre you an embedded software developer looking for a challenging new roleHave you got solid experience in C++ or other object orientated languagesIm working with a leading client working in the defence and aerospace industry, a leader in the area of communication and information systems. Were looking for skilled developers at mid, senior and principle level to join their team.This role is ideal for someone who wants to work on end to end software delivery at the cutting edge of technology. Highly project focused, youll have plenty of time to experiment, learn and develop your career whilst making a difference on a daily basis.What will I do

  • Requirements Analysis
  • Software architectural and detailed design - UML
  • Design implementation - C++
  • Formulation of integration and test strategies
  • Managing work packages
  • Providing regular and clear technical progress reports to project management.
  • Working with Analysts to develop processing algorithms
  • Production of formal documentation throughout the development lifecycle including requirements specification, detailed design and test
  • Planning and estimating
  • Configuration management - SVN, WindChill
    • What are we looking for
  • C++ (or other high level OO programming language) in a multi-threaded implementation environment
  • Experience ideally both Windows and Linux environments
  • UML - with Rhapsody or Enterprise Architect
  • GUI ergonomic design and development
  • Digital signal processing (audio/image processing/sonar/radar)
  • Real time operating system development environments
  • Understanding of networking
