Job Description

An excellent opportunity to join a leading Engineering company who require a Mechanical Fitter to join on a 12 month fixed term contract to support the Manufacturing Function.This promises to be a very rewarding position working within a global engineering environment. This role will allow the successful candidate to develop within an excellent engineering company.Mechanical Fitter Requirements:

  • As a Mechanical Fitter you will have a minimum Four Years Mechanical Fitter Experience
  • Experience preferably on Rotating Equipment, cooling systems, transmissions and drives
  • Time Served or Apprentice Trained
  • Ability to Read Drawings, Fault Find, Rectify , Modify and Refit
  • Experience of Mechanical strip downs, inspections, modifications
  • A working Knowledge of Safety systems, Risk assessments and COSHH regulations
    • Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:
  • The Mechanical Fitter will have the ability to do strip downs, inspection, modification and fitting of main and sub assembly components
  • Use of technical drawings to interpret the presented information into an inspection report and subsequent assembly
  • Maintain good quality and efficiency
  • Read drawings, identify components, assemble, repair or modify mechanical equipment
  • Flexibility of skills to carry out testing, basic wiring and mechanical fitting
  • Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements
  • Involvement in improvement activities as required
  • Ability to complete technical documentation as work progresses
  • To perform other duties as assigned from time to time
