Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join this world class Fresh Produce Manufacturer.OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Hours of work: Tuesday to Saturday 6am - 3pm, 9am - 6pm or Wednesday to Saturday 4 on 3 off 7pm to 7am shifts available
THE LOGISTICS COORDINATORKey responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator will include:
  • Responsible to implement optimal E2E transport scheduling & planning across all sites to enable OTIF delivery to all customer depots.
  • Ensure timely and accurate update of all customs related documentation, entries and horticultural marketing inspections for all air and road freight imports from EU and rest of world.
  • Ensure fully compliant with National Operators License & Drivers Hours legal requirements, fleet cost and reporting.
  • Timely and accurate communications, collections and clearance of all import cargo shipments in strict compliance with prevailing HMRC procedures.
  • Timely planning of ULD returns to correct airline handling agents. Responsible to ensure all company owned and hired vehicles are roadworthy as per National Operators Standard License.
  • Coordinate scheduling of servicing, accident repairs and breakdowns for tractor units and trailers.
  • Ensure all transport & distribution activities fully conform to all H&S regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation, timely systems update for all transport & distribution, imports & exports, customs & food inspectorate and Prophet PO to efficiently process all internal and external queries.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Logistics Coordinator role from a similar Food Manufacturing business. In addition, candidates will also need:
  • Must have previous experience of supervising or strong multi tasked working responsibility within a fast-paced logistics, transport and operations environment.
  • Experience of working in the food industry, supplying retail multiples, and managing teams would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of supervising drivers hours, fleet of HGV vehicles and legal compliance
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline. (preferable not essential)
