STORES SUPERVISORGREAT YARMOUTHFULL TIMESALARY NEGOTIABLESummary/Purpose of PositionAs an integral part of the businesss future success, reporting to the Production Manager the Stores Supervisor will be responsible for leading the stores team, including production support activities into the manufacturing environment throughout its lifecycle, from initial concept through to a final product / process release. You will be coaching and supporting direct staff team members, supporting improvement of existing product ranges, offering improvements, and cost down investigations and optimizing leanmanufacturing processes through stores management, materials control enhancements.General Functions, Duties & Specific Responsibilities Lead and manage workload for direct reports to ensure deadlines and targets are met. Ensure smooth running of Stores, management of stock, layout, planning to meet business OKR Processing of goods in, including quality checking, updating the business system and raising discrepancies with Supervisor 100% Kitting targets of parts for production following the company process for updating business system and kitting sheet Preparing equipment and machinery for Despatch Managing the shipment of goods, handling, freight forward liaison Management of physical stock and the maintenance of records on the business system, with stock take management through regular review and annual audit stock take.As Stores Supervisor your main responsibilities will involve: Providing full support across the business to meeting company and OKR Target / Objectives and direct customer solutions where applicable. Supervising direct staff, reporting and performance monitoring Management of stores material management and control, using software and supplier partnerships to develop / improve material, inspection and delivery performance records and changes Support the inspection processes of component / material delivery Providing accurate information and stores potential improvements throughmanufacturing lean efforts, through process upgrades, any tooling, jigs, or fixtures costs Responsible for Coaching and Mentoring the new staff, working closely with other members of the business in key areas such as Mechanical, Electrical Design & Manufacturing to ensure that the customer requirements are achieved, in terms of delivery schedule,cost and quality through innovative uses of company internal and external resources. Working with Purchasing & suppliers ensuring technical, manufacturing and quality aspects are monitored through equipment assembly development. Managing the on-going Lean Manufacturing techniques for controls team and working with Product Design to implement any improvements to make the equipment integration more effective meeting business objectives. (i.e. 5S, TIMWOODS) Supported by Stores team driving a developing 5S process for company site, initiating site changes updating layouts and plans. Initiating, Creation and the maintenance, providing technical input into Process Documents, Test and Inspection processes and drawings whilst supporting with DCN (Documents Change Notification) activity.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: PIT / Forklift License People Management knowledge. Engineering/Stores knowledge. Self-motivated individual. Good verbal and written communication skillsAs Stores Supervisor your skills will need to include: Effective Communication skills, influencing and persuasive skills Assertiveness and dealing with challenging, difficult people, managing stressful situations and projects whilst not demotivating others Activity management, writing reports and presentation of data, planning and prioritizing activities Accurate record keeping, Computer skills and general windows software applications The ability to work well within a team environment being a positively influencer Knowledge of equipment manufacturing processes and techniques i.e. 5S, TIMWOODS Understanding Health and Safety policy and responsibilities in conjunction with manufacturing processes and staff Being highly technical and thorough, professional, and proficient Understanding engineering and technical drawing information Making smart decisions to meet company objectives Problem solving, using known techniques (Fish bone, 5 Whys etc.) in an efficient manner Collaborating in team activities (5S, TIMWOODS), promoting team ethic and spirit Daily updating action records, allocation of resources and timing plans to meet company objectives. Support / involvement in any future company transition to a new ERP system and ongoing changes.
