Job Description

Exciting Temporary opportunity for an Interim Retail Manager to run a Charity Shop in the Shelford area.This role will start quickly and run for approx 6-8 weeks.**Would suit a student with strong retail management skills or**someone with solid background as an Assistant retail manager, this could be a good opportuntiy to gain more experience in a managment role.(Theres a possibilty of this being ongoing or more permanent if you enjoy the role)As Shop Manager, your main duties will include:

Managing the shop in according to the budget and standards agreed with the Area Manager and Head of Retail
Communicating with customers, colleagues and employees of other local businesses in person, over the phone, and by email (online)
Rotate goods as agreed by the Stock Controller and Head of Retail, to create interest and respond to seasonality.
Share product knowledge with customers and team members
Be creative in the promotion of the shop, its products and the introduction of new stock.
Take responsibility for shop premises security, and the safety of colleagues, volunteers, customers, contractors and stock
Manage stock level and rotations of donated and new goods to agreed standards.
Work closely with Retail colleagues to streamline back of house procedures and organisation.

This role is subject to a DBS and will start quite quicklyPlease note, this is a full time job, 37.5 hours, worked 5 days out of 7 to ensure cover during the weekend days too on a rotational basis.The hours are 9am-5pmIf you are all about customer interaction, budeting, delegation and organisation and have good ideas please apply!
