Job Description

Alexander Steele is currently working in partnership with a very well-established food manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire.Due to internal promotion, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator or Manager who will have full site responsibility for every aspect of Health and Safety.The package on offer for the right candidate is up to £40k per annum along with pension and 33 days holiday.You will be responsible for ensuring all areas of Health & Safety within the site are to the highest of standards.The Role

  • To keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislations and any developments which may affect the company.
  • To carryout regular health and safety inspections ensuring actions from inspections are closed out.
  • To review all risk assessments and actively undertake risk assessments for tasks, processes or equipment ensuring that any risk control measures are implemented and communicated to all relevant colleagues.
  • To develop, implement and review H&S programmes and procedures
The Candidate
  • Minimum 1-2 years Health and Safety experience
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Good understanding of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Used to working in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great leadership abilities with confidence in making decisions
