Job Description

Sales Office ManagerLocation: Grays, RM20 3LH.Salary: Competitive, DOE.Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 9.00am - 5.00pm (with an hour for lunch each day)Tennants Distribution Ltd is a leading independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK. We are a subsidiary company of Tennants Consolidated Ltd and our origins go back to the late 1700s when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland.Today we are distributors for some of the worlds major chemical companies stocking over 3000 products in various packaging sizes and in many cases, we are able to offer product in intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and bulk road tanker quantitiesWe are currently looking for an Office Manager to join our Purfleet depot. You will be professional and safety conscious in your outlook, with a helpful and productive attitude.Office Manager - Responsibilities include: ensure the smooth running of the sales office on a day-to-day basis management of the sales office personnel closely monitor the orders and deal with any anomalies to ensure we are correctly processing orders inputting customer orders maintaining various pricing spreadsheets produce invoices, certificate of analysis / certificate of conformity and exchange notes when required dealing with correspondence, complaints and queries liaising with staff, suppliers and customers carry out staff appraisals, manage performance and discipline staff promote staff development and training implement and promote equality and diversity policy Manage and process any import documentation requirementsSkills required Previous sales administration and office management experience within a similar environment excellent organisational and time-management skills knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and other commonly-used office packages strong IT and typing skills the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure good teamworking skills and the confidence to lead and motivate a team the ability to manage your workload and supervise others concurrently attention to detail flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads a problem-solving approach to workIf you feel that you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role then apply today!
