Job Description

This role is being advertised by Savills Management Resources (SMR) a wholly owned entity of Savills (UK) Limited but a separate employing entity which is not accredited by Real Living WagePurpose of the RoleThe role of Marketing Coordinator is pivotal to the success of the Marketing function within the centre management.The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Marketing Manager to deliver compelling marketing campaigns that drive brand metrics, footfall, retailer sales and market share for the shopping and leisure destination, in line with the centres annual marketingbusiness plan.They will also be required to undertake digital marketing to assist in curating and developing engaging centre content and implement this as part of the centres online marketing strategy; using the centres website, e-shots, SMS and social media platforms.The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills and an ability to interact effectively at all levels.Key Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team to deliver the centres annual marketing business plan in line with the overall strategy
  • Support to deliver events, promotions and service initiatives to achieve marketing objectives in line with the overall marketing strategy for the centre and introduce new digitally related ideas to enhance individual campaigns.
  • Ensure effective event management in line with Health & Safety guidelines, manage external suppliers and deliver clear communication to centre teams. Undertake detailed reviews of all events including retailer and shopper feedback
  • Build strong relationships with retailers to drive content for marketing activity, including online, social media and events, provide retailer support for general marketing enquiries and centre promotions.
  • Event management support including some evening and weekend working.
  • Support the team with regular retailer meetings; manage retailer communications/offers and general liaison.
  • Support delivery of the centres digital marketing strategy to engage and drive visits to the centre using the website, e-shots, SMS and social media by curating and developing original and engaging content across all digital platforms.
  • Support the curation and develop engaging content from within the centre including retailer and commercialisation activity, and amplify locally across the centre website and relevant channels, giving people even more reasons to visit the centre.
  • Support management of retailer content across the centres digital platforms in a timely manner, including new retailers / leisure attractions, new ranges, events and key promotions.
  • Ensure the centres website is constantly refreshed with new and engaging content, promoting events, celebrating key dates / key gifting windows in the annual calendar, to drive visitation and sales.
  • Support the marketing manager to ensure that all marketing communications, including collateral produced for brands, visitors, local community stakeholders, CR partners or commercial partners is in line with brand guidelines and ensure sign off throughthe correct approvals process.
  • Establish and develop key relationships within the community, maximising positive business relationships and partnerships for the centre, driving Community Relations and Charity partnerships.
  • Assist with the evaluation of all marketing activities reporting of results for each campaign, as well as ensuring that regular reporting timescales are met
  • Communicate with retailers through regular retailer forums and face-to-face visits, to raise awareness of marketing campaigns and opportunities and to curate engaging content that can be amplified via the centres website and owned channels.
  • Where appropriate, use creative writing skills to produce centre literature and digital content.
  • Manage all visitor literature in the centre, making sure that it is current, regularly replenished and that stock levels are being monitored in conjunction with the customer services team.
  • Provide administrative support where required and work in conjunction with all colleagues to maintain consistently high standards within the centre.
  • Deal with enquiries and requests for information and promotional space from local community groups / charities.
  • Support the marketing manager with any reactive media, including managing any crisis communication issues via our digital channels.
  • To ensure compliance with the Companys Health & Safety policy.
  • Any other duties as appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:Essential Proficient in full range of Microsoft applications inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Outlook. Experience in social media management Experience in working with third party agencies i.e. Creative, PR Reliable, helpful, and well presented. Ability to think creatively and apply this to events and communications Ability to work in a team, or alone under the direction of Marketing Manager. Team player with strong customer service skills, able to provide a helpful and polite service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal with confidential information. Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a calm and professional manner. Able to work under pressure to deadlines. Careful and conscientious with an aptitude for attention to detail. Willingness and ability to learn on the job, keen to undertake training and career development.Desirable Knowledgeable of Lakeside Shopping Centre and the surrounding area. Experience in basic free designs tools such as Canva. Experience in social media management tools such as Sprout Social.Working Hours 9am5.30pm Monday to Friday.
