Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:Warrington Health Visiting is part of the 0-19 service provided by Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Warrington 0-19 Integrated Children’s Service includes health visiting, school nursing, family nurse partnership, oral health improvement, breast feeding volunteer support, immunisation and national child measurement programme, working together for the health and wellbeing of young people.We are looking for an ambitious individual, who will be part of the 0-19 team supporting the Health Visiting Team in taking the next steps in developing great community services and ensuring that everything we do is based around our aim of quality first and foremost. We are looking for motivated and innovative individuals interested in developing their Public Health skills working with children and their families alongside Health Visitors and the wider integrated skill mix team.Applicants must have relevant professional qualifications and experience of working with children and families would be desirable. Experience of working with CAF/Early Help and safeguarding is desirable but not essential as training and support will be given. A key part of the Community Nurse’s role will be to assess health need, offer advice and support, lead and deliver health promotion.The Warrington 0-19 Service in Bridgewater works across 3 geographical areas working closely with Children Centre’s teams, GPs and Midwives. The service has well established skill mix teams consisting of Health Visitors, Staff Nurses, Nursery Nurses and Health Visitor Assistants who together deliver the Healthy Child Programme along with colleagues in the Local Authority, Primary Care and voluntary and statutory agencies.You will be joining a forward thinking service that contributes to the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to improve the health of children, young people and their families in Warrington.What we offerWe offer a great package with inclusion in the following benefits to name but a few:
