Principal Resourcing are working on behalf of a secondary School in Grantham to recruit for a 1:1 and small group Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Social Emotional & Mental Health needs.The Grantham based Teaching Assistant role will commence in as soon as possible but may change due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The role will be full time to ensure the pupils integrate back into regular education and have stability within the classroom.This Grantham based school supports children from across the county who have been placed in school by the local authority. The majority of students are placed in the Lincoln based school due to being permanent excluded or on a short-term placement of up to 16 weeks. As a Teaching Assistant it is your role to ensure they understand their position and look to reinforce the importance of their education.Working as a Teaching Assistant at the Grantham site you will be expected to work under the direct instruction and guidance of the teaching staff, SENCO and external agencies. The day to day support will involve working directly with the pupils who at times can display challenging behaviour so a current Team Teach qualification would be advantageous.
