This role will be instrumental in providing expert tax advice andsubmit compliance assignments to ensure the successful completion of tax advice for relevant clients. The role can be based out of our Grantham or Spalding offices.As part of the management team, you will lead a collaborative team that excels in providing high quality client services by actively promoting behaviour in line with the company’s culture and core values of trust, strength, direction, and value.You will ensure that everyone in your service line is equipped with the skills they need to deliver the best possible client experience, coupled with clear career opportunities and a supportive and enabling working environment in which talents can flourish.You will maintain fairness, equality, diversity, and inclusivity in everything that you do.Your responsibilitiesHeres a bit more on what you can expect to be doing day-to-day:

  • Interact with clients daily at several levels, to identify the more complex problems faced and provide solutions. Act as the primary contact for clients and have responsibility for client relationship management.
  • Accountability for managing a full portfolio to the highest standard, using knowledge and skills to add value to the client by cross-selling.
  • Be recognised as a technical expert within your respective field(s), both internally and externally, utilising opportunities to share knowledge and expertise to increase overall performance.
  • Work with other directors/managers of the team for individual client assignments, ensuring that they are well informed and receive regular updates on progress, along with identifying and escalating any issues as necessary.
  • Build a network of potential new clients to identify new business opportunities (e.g., active participation within funnels or similar marketing initiatives), creating a vibrant pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients to identify opportunities to sell all the company’s services, pitch for new business opportunities and create tender documents.
About youWe think you’ll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in the role:
  • You will be ACA, ACCA, or CTA, or ATT qualified with a minimum of 3 year’s post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in Inheritance tax, capital gains, allowances, trusts, income tax and incorporation work.
  • People management
  • Effective management of client lock up - budgets/billing/debtors.
  • Time management of work in progress
  • Business development skills
  • Organised with good time and budget management.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Self-motivated for technical knowledge and personal development
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
  • You are based in the east midlands, can commute to either our Grantham or Spalding office.
