They are currently recruiting for an experienced roman blind maker to join the company on a full-time or part-time basis.They try to operate a fun and rewarding business with company funded medical cover and regular investment in new machines and systems to improve the operation for everyone involved. Job SpecificsWe are looking for an experienced candidate with great sewing skills and an aptitude for roman blind, curtain and soft furnishing making.The role has a varied range of responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys working on multiple projects who has fantastic organisation skills and has an eye for accuracy. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Within this role, you will work effectively on a daily basis to ensure maximum operational performance and products that are finished to the highest standard. You will both observe and ensure that all site health and safety policies and procedures are adheredto in order to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.Job Role & Responsibilities:- Roman blind, curtain and soft furnishing manufacture- Alterations and workroom skilled work- Machine and hand sewing- Cutting fabrics- Pattern matching- Joining fabrics- Some ad hoc tasksExperience with industrial sewing machines and soft furnishing fabrics is essential.Salary & Benefits:- £22,360 per year (pro rata if part time)- Monday to Thursday 7am - 4:00pm with half an hour for lunch- Friday 7am - 1:30pm with half an hour for lunch- 28 days holiday including bank holidays- 3 month probationary period- Company Pension scheme- Private medical cover- Free on-site parkingThe factory is based in Bottesford which is within 20 minute drive from Grantham, Melton Mowbray and Newark via car. This is a rural location with limited public transport, so your own transport is essential.
