Job Description

Group Payroll OfficerGrantham£23,000 to £25,000 per annum37.5 hrs per weekPermanent Our client, requires an experienced payroll officer to manage all aspects of payroll for the Group and to support the wider finance department.The successful individual will be confident to deal with pay queries and liaise with internal managers and third parties and can work well under pressure to meet deadlines.Experience with PAYE and a knowledge of UK PAYE legislation is required.To provide the Group and its three operating companies with an end-to-end payroll service.Duties of the Group Payroll Officer include:

  1. Prepare the three payrolls in accordance with the agreed payment schedule.
  2. Provide an accurate and reliable service to the business.
  3. Support the HR team in answering any queries arising in regard to payroll.
  4. Prepare and submit RTI in accordance with agreed timescales.
  5. Prepare payments for of PAYE, NI, Pension contributions and other required payments e.g., attachment of earnings.
  6. Process leavers in a timely manner.
  7. Ensure that employee expense claims are processed and paid in accordance with agreed timeframes.
In order to be considered for the role of Group Payroll Officer, candidates must have:- A solid & proven payroll administrator with past and proven experience.- Must be capable of working to deadlines and pay day cut offs.- Must be familiar with current legislation such as SSP / HMRC returns etc.- Familiar with Microsoft Office & Payroll processing requirements.- Requires close collaboration with HR business partners & department managers.- Expense / Credit Card calculations and processing.- Supporting the finance team as and when required- Experience with PAYE and a knowledge of UK PAYE legislation is required.This is being advertised on behalf of Travail Employment Group acting as an employment business in this instance.
