CK Group are recruiting for a Development Chemist to join an inks manufacturing company based near Grantham, on a full time, permanent basis.The Company:Our client is an established inks manufacturer now looking for a Development Chemist to join their team. As a Development Chemist, the main purpose of your role will be to develop the companys range of both water-based and solvent-based inks. The company is looking to offer a salary in the region of circa £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.Location:This Development Chemist role is located at the companys site near Grantham. It is accessible by road from surrounding areas including Newark, Nottingham, Melton Mowbray etc. Development Chemist Role:You will be responsible for the following:- Formulation, mixing and blending of inks.- Development of other products as necessary (e.g. adhesives).- Analysis of said products.- Customer liaison.- Completion of development projects to deadlines.Your Background:The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:- Proven industry experience in the formulation of inks or printable heat-adhesives.- Water-based technology experience.- Alternatively a degree or equivalent in chemistry incorporating a relevant placement year.- Attention to detail and ability to rapidly identify the salient factors when analysing results.- Sufficient technical skills and knowledge to ensure the suitability of the products for customers.- Driving license required as the site is not easy to reach via public transport.Apply:For more information or to apply for this Development Chemist position, please contact Victoria Walker on or email , quoting job reference 49723.It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
