Job Description

SF are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant based in Grantham on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract, this role offers flexible working hours and working from home options. Salary up to £28,000 On site parking 2 days working from home This role is to assist with the preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts and keep the Fixed Asset Register up to date. Job duties: - Process and prepare budgets, import into Sage and revise on a quarterly basis - Assisting with preparation of the management accounts, looking into variances where required and dealing with any other queries - Creating financial reports for review - Distributing reviewed report to operational teams - Prepare schedule for accruals and prepayments of income expenses and post into accounting system - Import payroll and expense journals into the accounting system - Post any other journals required to prepare the management accountsEnsure the following balances are reconciled on a monthly basis: - Advance / Client Loan accounts - Intercompany accounts Ensure the bank and petty cash accounts are reconciled, liaising with the corporate finance team as required. Assist with other balance sheet reconciliations as required- Keep the fixed asset register up to date and reconciled to the accounts - Post depreciation/amortisation charges each month - Review P&L nominal codes for any fixed asset expenditure to be capitalised - Regularly review debtor balances ensuring all old debt is allocated to the appropriate person to following up - Follow up own responsibility of old debt, resolving any issues and assisting others when additional information is required - Liaising directly with sales ledger to ensure invoices are up to date - Assist with any ad hoc sales invoices that need to be raised (including holiday invoicing, social enterprise invoices, etc.) Other duties will include but are not limited to: - Carry out finance audits and provide training where required - Setting up nominal codes and cost centres - Assisting with preparation of the management accounts, looking into variances where required and dealing with any other queries
