Job Description

A leading Agriculture Company based in Grangemouth is seeking a Waste and Distribution Officer and Material Controller Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis for 6 months.Role purpose

  • To coordinate and support all activities carried out by the AI Material Controller group by ensuring that all tasks are carried out following HSE and GMC site procedures.
  • To support the activities required for compliant site packaged waste disposal
  • To provide technical support and expertise in the Distribution/Packaging activities for AI manufacture liaising with the Supply Chain business partners and external partners when required.
Accountabilities
  • Coordination and development of the team of Material Controllers.
  • Leader Standard work for areas of responsibility
  • Maintain HSE standards for Material Controller activities
  • Provide support in the delivery of full compliance with all documentation for the loading and off-loading of tankers
  • Ensure all procedures for area of responsibility are maintained, reviewed and fit for purpose
  • Maintain key knowledge for Waste Management operations and engage with the Site Environmental Manager to ensure operations are compliant with internal and external requirements and legislation.
  • Ensure all CLP, & Waste Labels comply with current legislation.
  • Responsible for Seram reporting (Internal waste reporting)
  • Responsible for site logistics compliance including, ADR the transport of Dangerous Goods by Road, IATA the transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, Transport hazard labels for the Transport of waste by Road and relevant HSE Management system requirements forlogistics.
  • Provide knowledge and professional expertise in Distribution/Packaging activities, be the first point of contact for the site and business for the resolution of problems and to drive the improvements of systems, procedures and business interfaces.
  • To deliver and co-ordinate the awareness or education as and when required by the business when changes take place in Distribution or Packaging systems or standards.
  • Engage with distribution and weighbridge staff on changes/issues that require resolution.
Knowledge, experience & capabilitiesCritical knowledge
  • A strong level of knowledge/experience in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment
  • A good working knowledge of SAP
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Problem solving techniques
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
  • Knowledge of waste legislation
  • Knowledge of road transport rules - ADR or DGSA
  • Incident investigation
Critical Experience/Skills
  • ADR: Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road (DGSA)
  • Waste Transport label generation
  • GHS:CLP label generation
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution/logistics or waste sector.
  • Proactive and self-managing
  • Clear and effective communication both written & verbal
  • Prioritisation of workload & planning in a highly demanding environment
  • Willingness to develop in the role and take on extra responsibilities as appropriate
