Job Description

To ensure the supply of spirit to bottling lines, on time and within specification, this should be in accordance with Spirit Plan and adhering to strict guidelines.Client DetailsA well established and recognised business producing alcoholic drinks.Description

  • Check spirit strength, tint & availability to meet spirit plans and with an understanding of bottling line requirements
  • Liaising with Spirit Planner, other Spirit Ops, Vatting, Blending, Bottling and Quality departments
  • Always maintain vigilance over systems regarding vats emptying, filling and remnants returning
  • Check all follow-on vats and returned spirit to Vatting
  • Maintain condition of Vatting area in accordance with SSOW and SOPs
  • Conduct and record strength checks on Vat samples
  • Ensure all Vats are accurately updated on RTG system when required
  • Update systems accurately as soon a possible after every transaction/movement
  • File & maintain paperwork accurately and as soon as is possible after every transaction/movement, including Duty free/paid sample labels and certificates
  • Ensure all parties are informed of any spirit related issue which could impact online efficiency as soon as is practicable & work to resolve the issue promptly
  • Ensure that the bottling hall opening and shut down procedures are followed whenever required
  • All period end accounts are filled in accordance with HMRC stipulations and returned to the relevant personnel within specified timescale
  • Participate in continuous improvement exercises
Profile
  • Previous experience within a Spirit supply operation would be advantageous
  • Fully conversant of H&S standards
  • Diligent attitude to housekeeping and asset care
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrates understanding and commitment to key quality principles
  • Understands key principles of cost and efficiency improvements
  • Demonstrates a commitment and drive to improving business performance and continuous development within own area
  • Fully conversant on problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
Job OfferBasic salary £29264 + 13% shift allowance34.5 hours 07.00 - 19.00 Friday, Sat & Sun
