Job Description

Our client is looking for a strong Project Engineer based at their plant in the Grangemouth area to focus on driving plant and maintenance improvement projects and initiatives.Client DetailsOur client is an Industrial Services provider within the Grangemouth area who have customers from a wide range, from Petrochemical, Pharmaceuticals and Chemical manufacture.Description

  • The Project Manager will lead the delivery of the capital and revenue project programmes and Project manage the delivery of a range of New Product Introduction projects in line with the growth strategy of the business, from inception to start up.
  • The role holder will coordinate, plan and organise the execution of the capital and revenue project programmes by providing a safe, continually improving and cost effective service to meet the needs of the client and by acting as first point of contactfor all project matters where appropriate.
  • Manage the multi-functional team through all aspects of detail design, including the monitoring and control of the performance of allocated resources, to ensure work is completed to an acceptable quality, programme timing and cost, and that agreed criticalsuccess factors are achieved
  • Delivery of the capital and revenue project programme; including plant modifications and asset upgrades, provide technical support, to ensure asset availability and condition is consistent with business requirements
  • The person shall have control of their allocated budget for site works, and shall be a focal point of the team that determines the future budget requirements for site-based activities.
Profile
  • The jobholder requires a wide range of experience in all aspects of project execution from conceptual work through to start-up.
  • You will have a minimum HND / HNC in discipline engineering and a proven track record managing engineering/maintenance up grade projects
  • Previous experience working on a COMAH site would be beneficial
  • Strong commercial and contract awareness
  • Project management quals would be beneficial however not necessary
  • Experience managing projects of 2+M
  • Ability to work alone without guidance would be beneficial
  • He or she will be willing and able to learn, will demonstrate leadership, motivation and drive and will have strong influencing skills to ensure the delivery of required engineering standards in a team environment.
