Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Effluent Treatment Plant Operations Manager for one of my key client based in the Grangemouth area. The Operations Manager would be required to plan and coordinate operations to ensure the effluent treatment schedule isachieved within the agreed time scales and budget.Client DetailsOur client is a 50 M T/O business who specialise in industrial utilities services supplied to the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and energy sectors.DescriptionThe Operations Manager would have accountability for the environmental, safety and health performance in the department, leading the team, setting and communicating the correct standards, and ensuring the required level of compliance is achieved and thatcompany policies and procedures are being adhered to.They would ensure that they are being consistently applied and there is optimal contribution from the shift teams through the application of consistent style of leadership.They would be responsible for the performance of the assets ensuring equipment and chemical processing issues are diagnosed, reported and dealt with in a timely and accurate manner. They would have the accountability for the asset strategy in that area.The role holder would ensure the personnel within their area have the correct level of competence to maintain and improve performance issues and the correct metrics are in place to measure performance. Will analyse performance data for improvement opportunities.Profile

  • It is essential that you have extensive experience of working within a manufacturing environment. You must have knowledge of chemical plants and processes and/or education in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Ideally qualified to degree level in engineering or science, you will have a proven track record in a leadership role within a relevant manufacturing environment.
  • You will have a strong grasp of Continuous Improvement and Change Management theory and have experience of implementing significant improvements in a manufacturing environment.
  • You will have experience as a first line manager and be able to demonstrate the ability to develop your team
  • You will have experience of managing and controlling budgets
Job OfferSalary 50-60k dependent on experience + benefits
