Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a strong HV Engineer for one of our key clients in the Grangemouth area to help drive maintenance programmes and new installations.Client DetailsOur client is an industrial utilities business with clients from Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Speciality Chemicals.Description

  • The HV Engineer will assist the Maintenance Managers, Operations Managers through local delivery of engineering maintenance, configuration management and general support.
  • Safely and effectively, maintain, manage and operate the works High Voltage distribution system. This will include operation including earthing of high and low voltage switchgear, creation of switching programmes, and issuing the necessary Permits
  • Assist in the development and management of plant technical libraries, ensuring that all engineering documentation, registers, drawings and diagrams are maintained in an accurate, up-to-date condition
  • Ensure full configuration management through monitoring, management and delivery of all aspects of engineering change control (modifications) in accordance with company policies.
  • Demonstrate good Safety Health and Environmental practices working towards zero accidents and environmental incidents participate in safety tours and raise feedback as required to ensure the site is maintained in a safe condition.
  • Provide effective communication to ensure that any plant specific, technical requirements are provided to internal and external groups carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and projects within the plant.
ProfileThe role holder will be time served and have an indentured apprenticeship or will have a minimum of an HNC / SVQ in discipline engineering.The role holder will have a minimum of an HND / HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualificationThe role holder must have experience in High Voltage switching operations and ideally have operated as a Senior Authorised Person.He or she will be positively developed toward technical and personal growth and thus must be adaptable, willing and enthusiastic.He or she will be willing and able to learn, will demonstrate, motivation and drive and will have strong influencing skills to ensure the delivery of required engineering standards in a team environment.Job OfferSalary is up to 45k and this is a day shift, Mon - Fri role + benefits.
