Job Description

SRG are working with a leading global chemicals company to help them find Formulation Technicians during an especially busy time for the business.The roles are 12 month contracts but may lead on to something longer term.This role involves shift work including night shift and weekends on a rotational basis so you must be fully flexible.The Role:

  • Responsible for the formulation and charging of highly toxic powder and liquid chemicals to produce fungicides for the Agricultural Industry following SOPs.
  • Charging vessels with raw materials and active ingredients manually and with the aid of Delta V software
  • Operating bead mills to reduce product particle size
  • Monitor and transfer products between large vessels through a complex sequence of valves and transfer pumps using a computer based application (CQUINN).
  • Calculating the amount of AI charged to vessels and the amount of water to be used in the final flush after transfer to next stage
  • Monitor product levels, temperatures, flow rates and pressures across a wide range of vessels and pipelines. Taking samples and analysing results including particle size and density
  • Carry out first line engineering maintenance work with competence and time to reduce plant downtime and increase plant efficiency of operation.
  • Operating a forklift in a safe and efficient manner. Unloading tankers into holding tanks
  • Maintain HSE standards
Requirements:
  • Experience in a fast paced production or technical environment
  • Previous chemical handling experience would be beneficial
  • Current FLT license or previous experience would be an advantage
