Our client is currently recruiting for a Lab Chemist on a contract basis for initially 3 months based in Grangemouth.Specification: * University Education to BSC degree level/ technical knowledge equivalent to a BSc qualification in chemistry but other applicants will be considered if they have worked a number of years in the laboratory and shown an aptitude at resolving lab problems. * At least 3 years practical experience working in a laboratory with GC, HPLC, GPC, FTIR instruments and involving some wet chemistry. * Experience of working a shift pattern within the petrochemical industry and also within a team would be advantageous. * Must be able to follow written laboratory methods to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of tasks and report any malfunction or defect that may affect the successful completion of the process. * An ability to show initiative and resolve technical problems arising from normal laboratory operation is highly desirable. * Microsoft office, data entry into databases. * Knowledge of TotalChrom, Spectrum10 and Labsolutions instrument software desirable.
