To Lead a team of Cost Engineers and Analysts providing cost control and reporting for FPS by evaluating and challenging spend across Projects, Turnarounds, Fixed and Variable Costs. Ensuring costs are managed within budgets and spend is accurately profiledand forecast over the term of the project or workscope.Client DetailsThe largest manufacturing site by volume of products. It is home to Scotlands only crude oil refinery and produces the bulk of fuels used in Scotland.Our world-scale petrochemical plants make around 1.4 million tonnes per annum of product, used as the building blocks in the manufacture of household items that society depends upon every day. These include synthetic ethanol, ethylene, propylene and polymers:polyethylene and polypropylene.Our products are used extensively in the petrochemical industry and transformed into bottles and pipes, cabling and insulation, food packaging and are used in the pharmaceutical industry.Description* Partnering closely with our Projects organisation to deliver a high value Cost Assurance service, one which enables accurate cost and commitment forecasting over the full project lifecycle.* Control of Term Contractor spend, ensuring verification of rates and work completed to enable efficient payment application processing.* Supporting each asset function to develop and analyse budgets, cost phasing and forecasting encouraging cost owners accountability for asset spend.* Detailed cost reporting, interfacing with planning teams to ensure that cost and schedule progress are monitored including monthly VOWD, committment and forecast updates.* Project systems development, KPIs and governance through a current business wide transformation project.* Assisting the Procurement function on several key projects relating to future contracting strategy and vendor relationship management through more efficient cost control.Profile* Appropriate Quantity Surveying/Cost Engineering qualification beneficial* Experience in Cost Engineering (min 5 years) with strong proven line management skills* Familiarity with Maximo/SAP systems desirable* Advanced excel skills required* Ability to manage time effectively to achieve targets and objectives within deadlines.* Self-starter and comfortable communicating at a variety of levelsJob Offer£62K - £65K SalaryContributory pension scheme - up to 9% company contribution based on 6% Employee contributionLife Assurance - 4 times base salaryIncome ProtectionPaid Holidays - 34 days per yearPaid Sick LeaveBonus scheme
