Job Description

A dedicated Accountant is required for an industrial manufacturing company based in Grangemouth. The role involves ledger management, providing accurate financial reporting, and maintaining financial policies and procedures.Client DetailsThis company is a leading player within the industrial manufacturing sector.   • Managing accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
ProfileA successful Accountant should have:
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) or Qualified by experience to a similar level.
  • Proven working background as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
