About The RoleSupport WorkerLocation: Gowerton, SwanseaSalary:£25,206 per annumbased on 39 hours perweek, average of 2 sleep ins per week.Finish your working week in 3 days!Enjoy more quality time at home.Get out and about and dont be tied to an office!It takes a special person to work with children in care. The children living at our home in Ty Aelwyd need your patience and caringnature. Theyoung people who live with us have had childhood trauma, are struggling with their mental health, or both. Youllsupport them as they work through difficult issues. Youll take them to school and support them with day-to-day activities. There are also days out!This job has its challenges, and youll need to support the children consistently. Well give you all the training you need. There will be tricky days, but the good days make it worthwhile. And youll have a supportive team around you too!A day in the life of working at Priority Childcare includes:

  • Providing high quality care to the children and young people we support.
  • Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Being a positive role model.
  • Promoting independence by supporting a range of social, school and work-based activities.
  • Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise.
  • General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.
Youll need:
  • A can-do attitude, resilient nature.
  • Previous care experience preferred but not essential.
  • To hold a current valid drivers license.
  • Compassion and empathy.
  • Good communication.
  • The ability to work flexibly
  • To be reliable.
In return, youll receive:
  • An annual salary of £25,206 per annum based on 39 hours per week, and an average of 2 sleep ins per week.
