Title: Quantity SurveyorLocation: TorpointSalary: £45,000Contract type: PermanentAstra Recruitment are working with one of our clients to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in the Torpoint area.For this role you will be supporting the Procurement and Capital Project Teams to ensure that tenders made/ submitted are realistic and fair and the subsequent works undertaken are completed in full.This role will require you to be able to build strong and positive relationships with internal and external stake holders. You will have excellent influencing skills and be able to comfortably communicate with all levels.Job duties will include:

Ensure activities are fully compliant

Maintain high standards of probity and confidentiality

Report on activities and management information

Manage all costs

Monitor contractors to ensure compliance

Provide financial progress reports

Validate claims for change and scope of work

Provide financial reports

Advise on contractual matters

Your skills and experience will include:

Able to build relationships

Confident when providing reports

Experience identifying and analysing costs

Able to advise on contractual matters
