As the demand for tax advice for small businesses continues to grow my client is looking to welcome support on their tax compliance function leaving the Directors with more time to support their clients, but also to provide this as training opportunity in advisory.Based to the North West of Newcastle (although potentially working from home initially) we are looking for an individual who is competent in the completion of personal tax returns for Directors, Partnerships, HNWI’s and a few Trusts. Tax compliance extends to cover P11D’s, Trust Regulations, Capital Gains Tax returns and Corporation tax compliance. Training can be given with the latter aspects if you have only ever worked in personal tax.In a standalone tax capacity reporting direct to the Directors you will naturally be in regular contact with your clients and may even find yourself supporting on areas such as SDLT, EMI/EIS schemes, and group restructuring at busy times, a great way to extend your knowledge.My client is looking for an experienced tax compliance professional, who is able to manage in excess of 250 client returns with minimal supervision. With experience behind you a qualification such as ATT/CTA would be an advantage but not essential. Previous history in an accounting firm completing tax returns is the priority and also an appetitie to learn more in the field of advisory.Open to all applicants with the relevant skills, but likely to appeal most to those who enjoy compliance and working in a small business, able to be hands-on yet still interested to develop their skills knowledge.A relaxed office environment in a small yet supportive and friendly team along with a competitive salary are available in return.
