Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Head of Sales and Business Development to join a growing software development company specialising in life science analysis on a permanent basis. The Company: Our client designs image analysis software products for a wide range of clients across industry and academia.Location: Our clients office is located in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. Hybrid working options available. As a Head of Sales and Business Development you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, seeking new business relationships, working closely with the software development and support teams in developing the evolving sales strategy. In returnyou will receive an excellent base salary depending on experience, bonus scheme, share options, hybrid working and a cycle to work scheme. Your main duties will be to:

  • Developing the sales strategy to grow the business consistently
  • Manage existing accounts to accurately predict sales and increase turnover
  • Research new business development opportunities and actively build new relationships in targeted organisations
  • Manage a small team of 1 sales person
  • Travel to clients within UK or internationally
Your Background:The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A degree or higher qualification in a life science subject with demonstrable laboratory experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in sales and business development position within the life science sector
  • Knowledge of gel electrophoresis (1D and 2D)
  • A clean UK driving licence would be desirable.
