Job Description

We are looking for a Domiciliary Care Worker (car drivers and walkers) to join our team in Gosforth and surrounding areas.Drivers are not essential to the post but would be an advantage.Salary: Starting at £9.78 -£11.10 per hour plus enhancements for bank holidays, travel time and mileage payments.Hours of Work: Split Shifts - 7am-11pm- Monday to Sunday - including where possible alternate weekends and evening work.Domiciliary Care Worker Duties:

  • Confidently support people in a person-centred way
  • Carry out personal care including bathing and toileting support
  • Manage medication
  • Assist people into the community using public transport
  • Attend training and team meetings
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required
Domiciliary Care Worker Requirements:
  • Previous work experience in home care / residential care / hospital care
  • Literate in spoken and written English
  • Able to follow instructions on both written and electronic care plans
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills as described in the main responsibilities
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable, but not essential)
