Band 6 PELVIC health physiotherapist (WITH Annex 21 ARRANGEMENT)Full time (37.5 hours per week) - Permanent PostAre you a Physiotherapy student soon to qualify Or a band 5 or 6 physiotherapist looking to fast track into a specialist area of Physiotherapy Are you interested in the field of Pelvic health and looking to build a highly specialist range of skills If you answered “yes” to more than one of these questions, then read on!We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service in a supported 12 month development role. The team works closely with our maternity, urogynaecology, urology, colorectal and general consultant teams, and local specialist physiotherapists. The team is currently expanding into the management of complex pelvic pain patients, and working closely with the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) to develop exciting new changes to physiotherapy care for the postnatal population.The team will provide a mixture of bespoke in house training to the successful candidate, alongside attendance at any external courses deemed essential to the job role. Training will take place over 12 months with a competency-based workbook to complete and evidence your progression.By completion of your 12 month development post you will be responsible for managing the inpatient service for maternity and gynaecology patients. With postgraduate training you will be responsible for your own outpatient caseload which includes patients with urinary, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction, and referrals from our local community musculoskeletal services for specialist antenatal musculoskeletal reviews. You will also be involved in teaching and liaison with other health professionals up to consultant level, the development of students, and assisting the team when required with clinical audits and service development.This post is open to any students soon to graduate with either an MSc or BSc Physiotherapy degree, or qualified band 5 or 6 physiotherapists looking for a new challenge in a static role. The post will have Annex 21 arrangements applied, meaning you will be paid at 75 per cent of the band 6 role for the first 12 months of training. At the end of the 12 months of training and successful completion of the competencies, you will transition from being paid 75% of the band 6 role to full pay of the band 6 role.We strive to offer the suitable candidate a supportive working environment, with opportunities for learning both within the Trust and externally.
