Job Description

Due to internal promotion and business growth, Howdens Joinery are recruiting for a SAP BW Analyst to join our busy SAP Data Warehouse Team, based in either our Croxley Park office in Hertfordshire, or our offices in Howden, Yorkshire.We are embarking on a program of work which will modernise our data and analytics platforms and processes, introducing industry leading software. This is an exciting opportunity to get in at the start of this program and work with a skilled and knowledgeableteam within a friendly and dynamic environment.In this role you will provide technical expertise in the design, development and support of Data warehouse models and lead on the integration and operational management of the Data warehousing systems.Role tasks:

  • Manage and govern Data warehousing applications (SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP DWC)
  • Engage with Business Users to verify requirements and develop detailed technical specifications
  • Research and Design advanced Data and analytic solutions
  • Test solutions, system upgrades and bug fixes to ensure a high level of quality and stability
  • Produce and implement appropriate documentation to support any work undertaken
  • Provide day-to-day support and routine maintenance of all supported applications
  • Provide Out-of-hours support as per the support rota.
  • Produce or contribute to policies and procedures relating to data or analytic standards and implement accordingly.
  • Contribute to the overall analytic strategy in the areas of Data and analytic solutions.
  • Provide expertise in improving performance of data and analytic solutions.
  • Where relevant attend User Group sessions, conferences (in person, tele or web based) or other events to broaden knowledge around the relevant platforms.
  • Work closely with analytics teams to identify solutions and resolve issues.
What you will need to qualify for this Data Engineer (Data Warehousing) role:Essential skills
  • SAP BW7.5 / BW4/HANA Development experience
  • SAP BW-ABAP Development experience
  • Data Services / Data Integrator knowledge
  • 3 Full project life-cycle Development
  • Accomplished written and oral presentation skills
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills
Desirable skills
  • SAP DWC
  • S4 knowledge.
  • SAP SAC, SAP Business Objects, Power BI
  • SQL
  • SAP Data services, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP BTP
