REED are working with a £15m turnover manufacturing company in Goldthorpe who are looking for a Financial Controller to ensure the effective running of the Finance team.Remuneration: Salary of £45,000 per annum 26 Holidays plus bank holidays Quarterly bonusJob Purpose:To ensure the smooth running of the companys financial department and its functions (sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control), and being responsible for the efficient and accurate accounting operations of the company, including the accuracy of itsreported financial results in line with accounting principles and standards, whilst maintaining a system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk.Duties & Responsibilities: Sales Ledger procedures Purchase Ledger procedures (processing invoices and passing for payment, checking and reconciling supplier statements, dealing with queries, raising payments, posting to Sage and reconciling the creditors ledger) Bank reconciliations and allocation on cashflow and Sage Reconcile control accounts Accruals, prepayments and depreciation of fixed assets Dealing with accounts queries Month end and Year-end procedures Daily monitoring of cashflow and update of cash flow spreadsheet Highlighting any potential risks to the business Completing VAT returns Ensuring statutory payments are made on time Producing Management Accounts, P & Ls, balance sheets and supplementary financial reports where required Provide analytical advice to Directors where required
