Job Description

REED Accountancy are working with a leading manufacturing business based in Goldthorpe who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their existing team.Your role as Accounts Manager is to ensure the efficient running of the companys accounts department (sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control.)Remuneration: Salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum 26 Holidays plus bank holidays Quarterly bonusDaily Duties: Preparing monthly and year-end management accounts / financial statements Daily monitoring of cashflow, alongside the MD and Procurement Director Daily bank reconciliation, and allocation on Sage and cashflow VAT returns Month end and year-end procedures Reconciliation of control accounts Accruals, prepayments, and depreciation of fixed assets Reconciliation of credit card account Liaising with the companys-chartered accountants regarding annual audits Ensuring statutory payments are made on time Processing of payments Preparing financial data for the Board / meetings when required (including Board Meetings) Tax and regulatory / compliance with financial governance Highlighting any potential risks to the business Ensuring an accurate system of accounting records is maintained Ensuring all deadlines within the department are met Establishing effective, professional, and positive working relationships both internally and externallPerson Specification Proven working experience as an Accounts Manager Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations Excellent working experience of Sage 50 Good working experience of MS Office (Excel in particular) AAT qualified or equivalentnot essential if qualified by experience
