We are in an exciting period of growth and transformation and to support this ambition we are seeking to recruit an experienced, inspiring manager to take responsibility for our dog team providing supportive and assisted rehomingfor pets in crisis.Managing a team of approximately 35 full and part time staff alongside around 50 volunteers you will lead the team in providing a proactive and effective pet journey to ensure the care, medical and behavioural needs of the 50 - 100 dogs in our care are metas well as providing support to get them efficiently into successful new homes.The ideal candidate for this exciting opportunity will need significant experience of managing a large team focussed on achieving results, as well as proven knowledge of dog welfare. You will be accountable for the overall management of the team of employees,volunteers and dogs in a fast-paced environment working under pressure prioritising an ever-changing workload. Possessing excellent communication and influencing skills you’ll have the ability to handle challenging situations sensitively always putting dogsand customers at the heart of everything you do.Reporting to the Head of Intake & Rehoming, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to Woodgreen, our customers & supporters and the animals that we care for.The starting salary for this position will be £33,718- £41,210per annum, depending onexperience.
