Job Description

Our vision is a world where all pets are well cared for in loving homes for life. To achieve this, we not only provide care for pets in need, but also help people be the best pet owners they can be.We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and highly organised person to join us as our Retail Support Assistant.This is a busy and varied role which will be responsible for supporting both our Retail Management Team and our Charity shops. We will need you to support the smooth day-to-day running of our estate by:

  • Being a main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in person, by telephone and via email
  • Maintaining records using Excel and Word packages
  • Running Management Reports and pulling relevant information for the Retail Management Team as required
  • Organisation of and participation in meetings both at our Godmanchester site and remotely via Microsoft Teams, to include taking minutes and highlighting actions
Retail experience in a similar role is a bonus, however full training will be provided to the right candidate, with more importance placed on the following qualities:
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak to a variety of people from Directors to volunteers and suppliers to customers
  • Self-motivated with an ability to prioritise your own workload, as we can discuss splitting your time between working at our Godmanchester site and working remotely
  • Patience, great listening skills and an empathetic nature
  • An affinity with the work that we do at Woodgreen
